Scope of Work
The low voltage scope allowed Ultium Cells to automate, monitor and document the entire production of each battery cell manufacturing process. It also allowed the facility to provide plant security through CCTV and access control devices.
VEC developed the low voltage infrastructure to provide data and security to the equipment and plant (j-hooks, conduit, cabling, etc.). The process involved engineering, reviewing specs and drawings and working with architects, engineers and vendors to ensure complete functionality. The scope of work involved the installation of:
- Fiber backbone
- CAT6 data distribution
- IT rack build-out
- Wireless access points
- CCTV security system
- Access control system
